Prof. Jeom Kee Paik, the Director of Ship and Offshore Structural Mechanics Laboratory (a national research lab. funded by the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation), at Pusan National University fully understands that the FSL is of paramount importance in terms of structural longevity together with life time care. He promptly initiated the formation of the FSL Committee of Korea. He has also immediately undertaken to organize a mini-symposium sponored by the ICCES.
